First Edition!!

Well, the blog is set up now we have to tear ourselves away from Pinterest and do some projects and add to it!!  Will begin with posting images of recent projects. Bare with me as I learn how to drive this thing!!

A sweet wee bear made out of my Father In-Laws jumper, which was made be my mother In-Law.  Used this pattern http://www.craftbits.com/project/baby-pip-teddy-bear.
A cute floppy Bunny as an Easter gift for my daughter, http://sewing.craftgossip.com/free-pattern-funny-bunny-softie/2010/04/09/ using this pattern.

Cushion covers, these were made with a cream polar fleece, the first one with a freehand drawn needle felted stawberry, the other with a needle felted sock monkey against the polar fleece, with the outer edges a patterned stripe and spot corduroy fabric, also has brown piping.  It has no eyes yet, he will get some soon!!

Saw these very cool backpacks in a shop and thought, I could so do that!!  While a challenge for my brain, I did do it!!  Made out of an old paisley petticoat and a heavy drill shirt both from the opshop.  Not sure how strong it is but it looks great, very original.

Current project, use up bits and pieces of fabrics to make a King size quilt, trying to be clever and quilt it as i go in sections as I wont be able to fit it all into my little machine, and dont want to pay to get it professionally quilted.  Using a King Sized duvet inner that I dont need as the batting.

Happy Sewing!!
